It really just looks like the old Exp Mode has been copy pasted into regions rather than single islands. I had to stop playing the game for long enough that the glimmer of excitement at something new has faded away. Now, i'm trying to summon up the interest to care. I was trying to find out what those points came from. I 'explored' 7 islands and not just what I made for myself and no points. Otherwise they were all the same (except only the last 2 had any clay at all) I have a ship now but I haven't sailed off the edge yet because on the map it looks like it says all the islands cost points and I don't have nay points yet. I also found some magic flowers on another island. I found a stone axe laying around near him. There was one guy who attacked me and I killed him. There was also a basically useless ruins with nothing in it, on it, or near it. Every time I try to click on it I get the popup window with help info I think. I also found a ship on dry land, like the bones of a dead creature in a desert but it was a ship. In fact, in the morning, I get hit with nothing but bright sun glare and cant even see my character under the water. Not just because of the breathing thing, it's pretty shallow, but really the 3rd person is really hard to use when my character is under the surface by my point of view is above it. I did find a sunken ship but I can't find anything on it and as I said above, exploring under water is a chore. Oddly, that was not my start island but actually the last one I explored. One island actually is just like the old newbie island and has the NPC with the starter advice and the wicker bed next to her. But they are also just six copies of the starter Yland from the same Biome I'm in now. However the other six are definitely Ylands like in the original (or previous if not original) version of Exploration mode. It's just a tiny island with almost nothing on it. One of them is so tiny that you probably wouldn't consider it an Yland but I sitll count it because it has land surrounded by water and it isn't just a piece of another Yland that is partially covered with water.
